Pastelliste, sa principale source d'inspiration est la nature, travaillant d'après ses propres prises de vues ou de son imagination. Isabelle dévoile un univers naturel et sauvage duquel l'homme est absent. Elle cherche le coup de coeur avec le paysage. La création de ses oeuvres se fait avec les doigts par superposition de couleurs sous forme de bâtonnets directement sur un support spécial pastel. La douceur, l'éclat, la lumière en y ajoutant parfois des couleurs irisées. Les pastels sont en grande majorité des oeuvres réalistes. L'envie de partir de cette base pour tendre vers l'abstrait et l'improvisation. L'objectif est que son travail ne ressemble pas systématiquement à de la photo. La montagne avec ses paysages surnaturels; l'océan par la force des eaux agitées et frémissantes; l'interprétation des marais et l'évocation marine des vagues. Autant de diversité qui permettent de tisser un lien.
